The Civil Service Commission of the City of Fayetteville has scheduled a written examination for entry level positions in the Police Department on Saturday, August 11, 2018. The examination will begin at 9:00 A.M. Please visit this page http://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/1127/Police-Careers on the City’s website for updates regarding the testing location and other information. If you are interested in testing, you must first submit an application which is available here – http://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/649/Human-Resources. Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M. CST July 12, 2018. In order to meet all application requirements, you must include electronic copies of the following required documents including Birth Certificate or proof of citizenship, GED or High School or College Diploma, Driver’s License and DD-214 for applicants with prior military experience.
An optional Study Guide and Practice Test for the Police Officer written examination is available for applicants to purchase directly from the testing company. It is not necessary for an applicant to purchase a Study Guide or complete a Practice Test in order to pass the written test. However, applicants who take time to familiarize themselves with the test and ways to prepare for it may tend to feel more confident on the day of the test.
